Welcome to State Farm® Goldtimers
Who are we?
Some years ago SFEA contacted retirees from the Bloomington-Normal area to discuss a way of staying connected in retirement. State Farm® Goldtimers was initially organized as a Central Illinois club under SFEA with a volunteer committee and has operated that way for a number of years. In 2020 Goldtimers is branching out on its own, with the support of community sponsors Busey Bank and Direct Travel, to explore how the group will continue to evolve and expand to reach more retirees. Goldtimers continues to be focused on helping retirees stay connected to each other, remain informed of community and State Farm® news/events and to facilitate group travel in the United States and abroad.
Stay Connected to Each Other and Informed
At least 4 times a year, Goldtimers has hosted a Quarterly Meeting. Goldtimer meetings have been on a variety of topics including popular financial events that discuss taxes/investments, human interest presentations, local businesses and, of course, updates from our former employer. In-person events are held at The Chateau in Bloomington or offered as webinars.
Travel and explore what the world has to offer
Group travel has long been the most popular way for retirees to explore the world. The Goldtimers organization, through their association with Direct Travel, offers a wide variety of group departures to destinations all around the world. From the National Parks to Branson and from Africa to Antarctica we plan some of the most unique and exciting tour programs possible. We have had many great programs over the last 15 years creating memories and experiences that truly make life better than ever. We look forward to welcoming you on an exclusive Goldtimer’s departure soon.
